Principles of Compositional Design

Rhythm: A repeated sound or pattern.
 
Directional Movement: Defines if an definable trend is in a instrument.



Proportion/Scale : An art that contains both sizes. Scale refers to the size of a object.
 
Balance : Making two objects even and steady.



Unity :
This means a group being joined as whole.


Harmony : Sounded notes to make chords.


Contrast : Something completely different from something. But, mainly an opposite.


Emphasis : Importance or attached to anything.

Analogous Colors: A wheel that has the basically has the rainbow colors on it.

Complementary Colors: Colors that are an opposite from each other like green and red, or blue and orange.

Primary Colors: Primary colors are colors that can  be combined with other colors. Like the color red and blue makes the color Magenta (purple).

                   

Primary Colors: Another color mixing with the two other primary colors. 

Tertiary Colors: Colors that can mix with Primary or Secondary. 



Asymmetry: A lack of equality. Something that is not even. 
Symmetry: Similar parts facing each other or the axis.
